Ziggurat

Description

Griffith Rose’s Ziggurat, for two flutes, explores the towering walls of Lawrence’s Ziggurat within three movements. The first (…les sept piliers) is a slow, dark reflection and introduction. The second (…le ziggurat) is a high-velocity moto perpetuo with frequent back-and-forth and constant virtuosic movement. the third (l’inscription du haut) is a return to the introduction and dimming closing of the day.
