Ara

Description

Thuring Bram’s Ara is an unusually constructed piece; it can be played by any number of flutes, from solo to large flute choir. In two sections – a ritualistic molto tranquillo and a rhythmically-driven agitato – Ara can be played either with massed sound or staggered as a canon and punctuated by gong or temple-bell strikes.
