Joachim Andersen has written nearly two hundred studies for the flute. The studies in this volume have been composed for flautists at an intermediate level. They have been arranged so that the pupil is introduced to all aspects of fingering and embouchure. The player should be relaxed at all times. Students should never forget that the basic instrument is their own body which should remain supple, ready for action, and open to the finer subtleties of music.
