Description

Khoury’s Apres un reve, for flute and piano, is an overwhelmingly dark piece. Heavy, profund sounds in the piano undercut the low, dark lines of the flute in the first and third movements. The central movement, the core of the work, is a strangely tonal, beautiful Elegy.
