Description

Camille van Lunen presents these these Variations on Kurdish Folksongs, two of them (for flute alone) composed for the competition ‘Jugend musiziert’ and one a duo for pupil and teacher.

Based on Kurdish songs, van Lunen found a way on the one hand to respect these beautiful melodies, their rhythms, the stories behind them, and on the other to put them in a different light, to add a personal comment.
