A String of Thoughts

Description

A wonderful performance piece constructed around a constant pulsating A. Dehnhard, author of The New Flute, casts his flute part in eerie, ethereal forms, using wind, singing, and open hole glissandi. Throughout the piano part, an A note appears in constant tempo, and scratching and dampening strings are used for effect.
