This piece was inspired by a composition with the same title which Offermans composed for the Nakagawa Bamboo Orchestra in Fukuoka, Japan. This ensemble consists entirely of instruments made out of bamboo. Inspired by this bamboo experience, Offermans composed this for flute ensemble.
