10 Baroque Pieces

Description

This collection is a selection of ten pieces from the first volume of Arie antiche for voice and piano, which was published by Alessandro Parisotti in 1885. All of the Arie antiche are in fact amenable to the flute, but some are more idiomatic than others by virtue of their tessitura and more florid and variegated melodic characteristics. These transcriptions do alter the original lines somewhat to enhance the flute’s play with the piano.
