Description

These 6 sonatas for three flutes are characterized by highly individual charm and elegance. They are written in the various forms of Boismortier’s time. The 5th Sonata is in the Italian style. Allemandes and Gavottes are set in their contemporary styles. Though the original mentions only flutes, the music can be performed equally well on violins or oboes, or in mixed combination.
