Arabesque

Description

Giancarlo Cardini presents the Arabesque, for alto flute alone.

The Arabesque begins with a bubbling, rising minimalist melody, that expands and contracts in gentle breaths and falls through the introduction. A counter melody – more rhythmic, centered around a center note – is presented, and then merges and twists around the opening idea through various flowing permutations.
