Description

Florentine Mulsant’s Variations for flute and piano, composed of a theme followed by five variations, is in the wake of the heritage of Debussy and French Chamber music: the instruments hold an equal, interwoven importance, with their tones delicately balanced and a musically airy textures which belies the underlying depth of the music.
